WREN's Mission

To practice and promote land stewardship through education, partnerships, and scientific research.

Rivers to Ridges Accomplishments!

WREN values collaboration; for the past 15 years, we have been part of the Rivers to Ridges Partnership, a group dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in the upper Willamette Valley by working together to protect and enhance the region's land and water resources and their ecosystem functions and values. To learn more about what this group has accomplished over the past 15 years, visit https://rivers2ridges.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/R2R-Infographic_FINAL_Web_version.pdf.

Volunteer with WREN!

Do you enjoy exploring your local ecosystems? Sharing nature with youth or families? Or would you like to provide support for education and research? There are many opportunities to engage a myriad of interests at WREN. For more information contact us at volunteer@wewetlands.org

Adult and Family Programs

WREN offers a variety of educational outdoor experiences for the whole family.

In the summer we offer Family Exploration Days where you can check out a pack of guides, binoculars and other tools of exploration and get to know your local wetlands.

Our popular Wetland Wanders are year-round on the second Tuesday of every month and change location and guide every month with topics ranging from turtles to wildflowers and lichens.

Follow us here for information about our FREE family events, or check us out on Facebook @WRENintheWEW.

School Programs and Field Trips

WREN offers classroom outreach programs and field trips for students of all ages.

Programs are designed to engage students in hands-on, minds-on learning, meet Oregon State Content and Next Generation Science Standards, and provide an interpretive approach.
