Wild Iris Ridge
Rescheduled after the ice storm in January, our Wild Iris Ridge exploration of Willamette Valley lichens with lichenologist Daphne Stone is back on! Hosted this month at Wild Iris Ridge, owned by the City of Eugene, this 228 acre property boasts a wide range of plant communities, including upland prairie and oak savanna, excellent wildlife habitat, stunning vistas, and...lichens!
Directions to Wild Iris Ridge: From west 18th, turn south onto Bailey Hill Road. Turn left on Warren St. and go 1/3 mile; Turn right to stay on Warren Street. Turn right on Summit Terrace. Turn right again on Bailey View and follow it to the end.
WREN Wanders are casual walks through various West Eugene Wetlands sites each second Tuesday of every month. These exciting opportunities are FREE to the public and provide observation, education and inspiration in our surrounding natural spaces. WREN staff and volunteers will guide this walk. Participants should bring water and wear muck boots. WREN will provide binoculars.
