9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Explore the West Eugene Wetlands at our monthly Wetland Wander held this month at Hansen/See-Sil. WREN Wanders are casual walks through various West Eugene Wetlands sites each second Tuesday of every month. These exciting opportunities are FREE to the public and provide observation, education and inspiration in our surrounding natural spaces. WREN staff and volunteers will guide this walk. Participants should bring water and wear muck boots. WREN will provide binoculars.

This month we'll wander through a unique and special site in the wetlands. The area is home to a variety of nesting bird species, prairie wildflowers and grass species. The program will be led by Dave Bontrager, a gifted freelance educator and field naturalist.

Participants are asked to meet at the west end of Royal Ave at/near the gravel parking lot. Directions to Hansen/See-Sil: Take Royal Avenue west to the ODFW parking lot at Fern Ridge Reservoir. If you have an ODFW permit you may park in the lot, otherwise park along Royal Ave. The site is on the north side of Royal, to the east of the house near the end of the road; look for the gate with BLM signage, and WREN staff.
