Amazon Creek Planting Day, March 17

On Saturday, March 17th, nine volunteers spent their morning from 9 a.m. to noon planting native shrubs along Amazon Creek on the north bank downstream of Beltline. They planted nearly 150 plants and mulched about 60 of those. The species planted include:

Red osier dogwood
Crataegus douglasii
Black hawthorn
Physocarpus capitatus
NinebarkRosa nutkana
Nootka RoseSpiraea douglasii
Douglas spireaSymphoricarpos albus
Common SnowberrySalix Scouleriana

Sitka Willow
