Wetland Wander at Meadowlark Prairie
Tuesday, February 9th, 2016
9am-11am
Wetland Wander at Meadowlark Prairie
Bird watching is a popular recreational activity at Meadowlark Prairie, with waterfowl, raptors, and songbirds, including the Western Meadowlark, all frequenting the habitats of this natural area. Winter often yields Northern Harriers, Western Meadowlarks and Red-winged blackbirds calling in the distance, and scat and tracks of coyote, and raccoon.
Participants are asked to meet at the Meadowlark Prairie Overlook located at 88525 Green Hill Road, south of the intersection with Royal Avenue. Please come prepared for rain with gear, sturdy shoes, and binoculars.
For questions please contact ShyAnne Woods at info@wewetlands.org or call (541) 338-7047
